In this private Modern Portuguese cooking class, you’ll get to learn the roots of Portuguese cuisine through the very experienced and very particular perspective of a fine dining chef. Yes, you’re going backstage into one of Porto’s most exciting restaurants and learning one-on-one with the chef and owner. How cool is that?
Be you a professional cook, a devoted amateur, or even a complete rookie, our chef will follow at your pace. He’s patient and nice like that. But he is nothing short of demanding, and together you will surely make amazing Portuguese dishes. Not only will our chef teach you how to cook these particular recipes, but he’ll also explain where the ingredients came from, and why they’re important in our cuisine. It is a chance to go full circle with an outstanding professional. Plus, it’s a lot of fun. And if you’re really good, maybe he’ll hire you.

Must I book the cooking class in advance?
Yes. In order to guarantee the chef’s availability, we ask you to book the cooking class with a minimum of 3 days in advance. If you book in shorter notice than 3 days, we may not be able to accommodate your request, however, do not refrain from contacting us.
Is this cooking class private?
Yes. Our cooking classes are private and only include you and your guests.
What languages may be spoken?
The cooking classes are provided in English or Portuguese. Please ask us if you prefer or need the class to be in another language.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Please indicate all dietary restrictions in the form, including allergies.
Our Portuguese cooking classes are not suited for vegans. Vegetarian options may be accommodated into the cooking class. Dairy-free options may be provided upon request; we cannot assure a gluten-free experience due to the possibility of cross-contamination in the kitchen.
What is the price of the Modern Portuguese cooking class?
Please ask us for a quote. Prices vary according to customizations, number of guests, and available chefs.
May I cancel / be refunded?
During the COVID-19 pandemic, guests may cancel their experience up to 72 hours free of charge. If not, the cooking class may be rescheduled to another date, whenever possible, or we may issue a voucher you may redeem during the following year.
May I postpone the class?
A cooking class may be postponed only once, with a minimum notice of 2 days. The possibility of postponing is dependent on availability.
